Peek-a-Boo: Babies 65, 66 & 67

It's been a while after Parker, Rory, Colin AND Samuel were born. Things have been (almost) bliss at the Rose house. The babies are fussy, but I manage. Every extra bit of time I have to myself, I spend with Shaniah and the boys outside. They started elementary school, and already they're all on the honor roll. This momma is a proud momma!

Nathaniel - First one of us to touch the sky gets a chocolate!
Shaniah - It's gonna be meeeeee!
Gregory - When do I get to swing?
Destiny - And who's buying the chocolate?
My new garden is progressing slowly, no matter what fertilizer I use, or how many times I water it. Some things you really can't rush.
No time for napping, as Greg and Shaniah drag me to the water slide and asks me to join in the fun. I run upstairs to change, and run back to see them practicing some moves already! Having a blonde moment, I slide on my back and it ends up a bit scathed because of the friction. Luckily the kids are unharmed, and I end up being the laughing stock of the house.
Seeing as Nathaniel escaped the wrath of the water slide by not playing along, Shaniah dares him to a game of tag. Nate runs barely two feet before breathing hard. Nia (new nickname for Shaniah, haha) has no trouble catching up, and hits him hard on the back.

Nia (grinning) - I win, hahaha! THAT should teach you to come play with us and not hide out in the bathroom.
Nate - I wasn't hiding out. I have bladder issues! Seriously!
Parker, Rory and Colin look so much like each other, I thought it would be cute to see them in matching clothing and haircuts.  They are the first set of triplets where I see clearer resemblance between each one of them. Rory is the only one with mysterious red hair, so at least I know how to tell them apart now!

If I had to assign personalities to the triplets just from looks, I'd say... Parker is the troublemaker, Rory is the thinker (genius, pffft) and Colin... He'd be the socialite that old ladies love.
Now, Samuel has been lucky enough to get most of his daddy's good looks and traits. Let's hope he doesn't end up being such a celebrity snob. But with those big purple eyes looking at you with happiness, it's hard to think he could ever be mean.
"Peek....a.....boooooo!!!" Shaniah loves keeping Colin (her new BFF) entertained, and it helps me a lot to know that the toddlers at least fit in with the crowd.

"Weee dwid sissy gwo?" Colin, who can't properly speak yet, yelps. Nia uncovers her face and yells "Here I am!" to him. This causes Colin to burst out in a fit of giggles.
It's hard to resist, wanting to pick up the toddlers and just snuggle them. Because it's a magical feeling that comes over you when you get them to smile (and they smile almost permanently, I swear). As Samuel as such interesting features, I scoop him up every few minutes just to look at him.

Destiny - Who's the cutest purple haired boy ever? You are!
Gregory - Mom... Please tell me you didn't go on like THAT when we were younger?
With everyone on the honor roll, it's about time the kids age up. Nathaniel begs me to get the cakes, and I relent; thinking it would have happened sooner than later.

Shaniah, being the lady, goes first. She has such an interesting personality. Looking like one of those popular kids, she's quite the opposite when t comes to interests. Nia likes doing things that people may consider weird, which I'm sure will strike up some admirers.
The boys are real jocks (minus the muscles). Already they're searching for magazines with pretty girls in it, or a sports magazine with the newest news about sport stars and all their dilemmas with steroids. Both of them LOVE football, and think about getting into the school team.
Even being considered a jock, Nathaniel at least makes the effort to spend some time with his "old lady".

Nate - Looking good there, mom. Never knew old people could swing their hips like that!
Destiny - You'd be surprised of all our skills we have! I have a degree in dancing and of course, mixology.
Nate - Really?!?
Destiny - ...No, duh. Just kidding!
It's a pretty boring day, even though it's a weekday, which brings by lots of activities. Being teens, they beg me to take them out somewhere, but I decline (homework comes first!). After doing their papers that were due the next week, they come help me out with teaching the tots, help I very much need!

Destiny - Nia, there's nothing wrong that the boys are helping me teach Colin and Parker. What's the worst thing they can do?
Shaniah - Oh, I don't know. Maybe teach them bad words?
Destiny - Ohh, right.... Oops.
The next sunny afternoon, the teens got their wish of getting out of the house; to treat everyone, we go to a new small park near the hospital. It's a perfect little playground for toddlers and kids. Teens, not so much. But anyways, Nia was quick to accuse adults of conspiracy. I hear her entire speech while I walk over to the swings.

"Mom.. She's very smart. Very smart indeed. Treat us nice a few times by giving us what we want, and THEN. She ages us up to adults and kick us out. Well, not kick out per se. She does give us money to get started... But the point is,  it's all to have MORE children. Like we're not enough. Such greedy buggers they are."
Rory *thinking*:
Thanks mama, for teaching me to walk.. Now I can strut all over this place!
Gregory and I discuss the possibility of them aging up and moving out soon, as there's always the challenge to think about. But there's also the kids' best interest to think about.

Greg - Moving out and having our own life would be cool and all, but mom.. Don'tcha think your moving all of us out too quickly? We still need our education!
Destiny (sighs) - You have a good point there, honey. I'm gonna have to figure something out to... I just don't know what yet.
Seeing as it's a weekday, everyone has homework to do. Nia and Nate sit down with their papers open in front of them, sulking the entire time. Colin sits there to keep them company, and Shaniah complains about him more than once.

"Moooooooo-ooooooom! How on Earth are we supposed to focus with this little bugger gurgling the entire time, and making weird farting noises?" she yells, not minding that people are staring at her.

"Remember that when you were a child, you used to adore Colin. Can you guys just take care of him for a little while longer?"
With four toddlers to take care of and spending time with the teens, it's hard to look after everyone personally. Dr. Moscovitz, baby daddy #46 and 47, also Xavier's psychologist, let's Rory ride on a the seahorse for a while. Unfortunately, Rory is stubborn and doesn't want to climb off!
I get even more help from a strange pink looking man. He, I figure, is a berry sort of sim. They're best known for their unique colors and strange skin. This man has a pink shade to him, even his hair and eyes are PINK!
Random Shot
Shaniah contemplating her future while sitting atop the slide.
That strange man, who I learn is Cherry Plum (talk about weird names!), helps me taking everyone back home. I notice that already he has formed a bond with little Samuel. Shrugging in my mind, I figure I could probably ask him to be the next father. Fingers crossed that he'll say yes!
It's time to turn on the charms...

Destiny - So, Cherry..
Cherry - It sounds like a girls' name doesn't it? Trust me, you don't wanna hear the full name.
Destiny (laughs) - Okay. But that wasn't what I was going for. Do you know what a 100 baby challenge is?
Cherry (laughs nervously) - Not at all, other than it contains a lot of babies?

I explain almost everything to him, plus the rules. He's speechless to say the least, and for a minute I think he's going to have a stroke. I stress that I made a mistake, but after a few seconds of good breathing, he gets used to the idea of being a father. So hooray, that's almost settled.
Out of the corner of my eye, I notice Nia clapping like a person on Christmas day. She must have put together the pieces of the puzzle, and knows that she and her brothers, Nathaniel and Gregory, must age up and move out. It's probably because she's proved her theory that she's so happy.
Shaniah has fully embraced young adulthood; but with a big boom and a shock. Nia isn't the down-to-Earth girl anymore. She's beautiful (model worthy!) and she knows it. Knowing what the world has to offer, Shaniah aims to be a celebrity, and not just any type. But a five-star celeb/actress/model.
And her sense of fashion has changed... I mean, who wears these kind of boots and stockings in public?
Nate and Greg are pretty much the same.. If you think the college boy- and rugged street boy-look are the same as they've always been. The boys are party animals, just like their sister. It's worrying me, thinking about WHAT kind of job they will end up doing.
Staring out the window, it's pretty creepy for me to see a random stranger standing there. I bite down on my teeth. Paparazzi. Being a celebrity sucks.
When you look at the triplets, you just can't help but getting confused. It's a habit for them now to dress up exactly the same - somehow even a game. Thank goodness for separate hairstyles!
This beach house of ours is really great. Apart from stalking paparazzi's, we have the great view of the ocean, BUT, I can also sneak peeks across the street. Tonight, I see Crimson Rodeo (challenge father) and Lanica's (daughter) husband chatting... And Blake and Keira standing extremely close to each other. Hmm, curious.
I thought paparazzi's would be a problem. A definite mistake of mine. It's late, after midnight, and I sit in the boys' room worried to death. Parker and Rory both have a temperature, and having absolutely no experience with illnesses, I stress. Could they die because of this? With the doctor being unavailable, I can only hope and pray.
With the boy's room under quarantine, Colin has to stay in my room. It's either that, or the pink room the girls usually inhabit. Not liking the idea of pink, Colin immediately chooses my green room. I check on Samuel regularly, fearing for him because I have not a clue what a illness can do to a toddler's system.
Parker feels better the next morning, but can you really take his word for it if he keeps walking around in his undies trying to open the cupboards?
So... While Rory and Parker are not going to school, they entertain themselves with video games. What else is there to do is the question, besides homework.
Speaking of feeling sick... I rush to the bathroom just in time to throw up.

"That's it," I croak. "I'm calling the doctor, first thing this morning!"
Colin is a lucky kid, not feeling sick or queasy at all. He's escaped illness this time, but I wonder if he'll be so lucky again. Of course, he does have the hard job of taking out the trash sometimes!
Dr. Landgraab made his way over (at last) to our house. His excuse for being late is that our home is quite far from his. Can I for once meet a doctor that doesn't make excuses like that? Anyways, Mister Vampire Dude here informs me that the boys have a slight case of the flu, and that everything will be fine if I just monitor their fever and whatnot.
Hearing the good news (eavesdroppers, the lot of them!), Parker and Rory rush downstairs.

"Were you two...eavesdropping?" I accuse them with a hint of humor in my voice.

"Fine, fine, we DID!" Rory gushes. I see Parker feels uncomfortable, and he adds "We really wanna go and meet our friends at school.."

I shrug, as it's fine with the doctor that they go to school. "Off you go!"
Next up, Dr. Landgraab examined little Samuel. I'm so relieved to know he has a clean bill of health!

"And me? Will I be okay, and who knows how many babies I'm carrying?"
"You will be alright, dear. Don't stress so much!" Geoffrey tries to sooth me, but I'm beyond that point. "It's bad for the baby if you stress, you know," he adds.
As the doctor drives away, another mysterious car pulls up in the drive way..
Oh wait, I know these people... Two of my favorite challenge moms! Calista Smith and Liana Masons.
"Yo, what's up amiga?" I give Calista a warm hug, and smile.
"Other than just having babies, not much!" she returns the smile.
I sigh, and give her a reassuring look. "I swear, we both keep having troubles with men. But anyways, sorry to hear about Simon.. I got it from my, eh, source."

"You and your spies..," her eyes narrow and we both laugh.
My other guest that has finally decided to drop by is Liana Masons, a relatively young challenge mom. I envy all her good looks. If only I could pull of that hairstyle and that outfit!

"Nice to meet you, finally!" I bellow.
"Likewise," she smiles.
The great gift Liana has is making you laugh. She pulls of almost a hundred different face expressions, each one funnier than the last.
Everything is quiet for a minute, until we hear screams from the outside. Calista found the water slide, unfortunately. "Get you booty out here! This is so much FUN!" I facepalm, pointing to my baby bump. Liana shrugs and goes off to join her. Lucky fishes, I think, jealous of them.
While outside, we notice Mr. Mysterious Gnome looks a lot different than before.. He's gone GREY! He's a old little gnome now, and the idea of him *poofing* away forever has me on the verge of tears.
From there on, the entire day is just crazy...

"So when you suggested that we did some fun things, you couldn't just say watch TV, play video games, eat some dinner, dance, or whatever? But you HAD to bring up the idea of making funny faces?" I complain (I'm like that when pregnant).

"YES! Isn't it funny? It's fascinating the ways our muscles work in our faces, to bring forth such weird looks, you know."
Tip: don't try and make Lobster Thermidor when pregnant. Just...don't. You end up almost breaking your back carrying the dishes!
We had a family dinner like none before. There are absolutely no more seats open, it makes me think we'll be needing a bigger table soon. Everyone, the kids, our guests, me, crowded to the table to get some food.
After dinner, Rory looks at me nervously, his lips trembling slightly.

"I think I'm sick again... Be right back!"

None of us questioned where he was going.
Going to the girls' room to think about some more designs for it, I find Miss Smith tucking herself into one of the beds.

Destiny - And what do we have here...?
Calista - Five minutes, that's all I ask... I'll be out before you know it!
Meanwhile, in the boys' room, the triplets are having a competition "Who has the best outfit?". Colin ends up being the astronaut, Rory the prince, and Parker the dinosaur.
Liana and Calista are so tired they pass out in the girls room for the night. Five minutes, my sweet patootie.
For the first time since we've been in our new house, I take the kids to the beach right across the street. Colin is stuck fishing with me, Rory and Parker build sandcastles, and Samuel, dear little Samuel... He just makes the picture cute!

I catch a 1 kg Red Herring, and it just goes to show: the success to catching big fish is having a big baby bump!
Fish actually make me nauseous, and when we're all done stumbling back into the house, I grab my stomach in pain. Yay, labor. Always there when you least expect it.

~♥~

AHH! I swear I'm near being suicidal. This is the who-knows-how-maniest set of triplets Destiny has been popping out lately. I think she's punishing me. O.o I was kind of hoping for twins so I wouldn't be forced to age the kids up the entire time, but, here we are...

Ciao!
